Responsibilities: - Under general supervision, performs assigned software maintenance, enhancement and/or development tasks to support project delivery, product support and/or development activities. - Completes intermediate software builds, integration and testing of products. - Assigned integration and internal testing. - Assists in identifying packaging requirements and designs, and deploys solutions for system delivery. - Gathers information for and prepares software and system level documentation, such as software design documents, system installation guides, test plans, programmer’s guides, and software maintenance manuals. - Performs basic and intermediate complexity bug fix designs. Implements the accepted design within the scheduled time and budget. - Implements assigned pre-defined new functionality in applications. - Provides limited marketing support for proposals and demonstrations to potential customers. - Interfaces with customers on specific projects or technical issues. - May mentor interns and junior staff. - Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent or equivalent work experience. Requires five (5) years software design or development experience in applicable language and/or database. Strong programming skills in writing code in C, C++, Java, Oracle, or relevant. Proven understanding of software design methodology. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to draft professional and technical reports and procedures. Ability to make informal presentations to technical and non-technical staff and customers. Good PC skills required, including use of standard MS Office applications. Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrates a high degree of personal and professional integrity. Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs.
